Following several requests for a form of marker upon graves. We have opted to go with a 'slice' of a tree trunk using pyrography to write minimal details on the plaque. (Please see below but note that this is not a final version and only a sample)
These markers are intended to be fixed in the ground and will be flush with the ground level. There will be other options to a foxglove such as primula, a hare, and butterflies.
The plaques are not intended to be a permanent feature. At this stage we can't be certain how long it will take them to return to the earth, but they will be expected to last between 5 - 10 years.
Memorial plaques are locally sourced in Bude and cost £50.
