Price increase

1st July 2023 saw a price increase for our plots and interment fee. Prices had remained the same before that since 1st January 2020.
As with everything at the moment, costs have risen and we can no longer absorb them. We have been absorbing a fuel increase since the government changed the rules in April 2022. This prevented us from continuing to use red diesel for our mowers and digger. This meant that the cost doubled overnight.
Our single plot cost is now £695. A double plot is now £1230. The interment fee has risen by £30, now making it £480 (this covers the cost of the grave preparation, tucking in of the loved one and the administration before & after a burial).
Ashes plots have risen a small amount to £250 with the interment fee now at £150.
We have introduced a new charge for burial of ashes that had received a 'direct cremation'. This has been necessary because when the main service happens at Penlow as opposed to at the crematorium - it takes many more hours of time to arrange and organise. We were previously charging a flat £125 for ashes interments and this was not covering the cost.
The new 'direct ashes interment fee' is £300. I hope that you will understand the necessity for this.
We hope not to have to increase our prices again for a while, however in these strange times that we find ourselves living in - we will have to monitor things closely.
